The July issue of the "Latin America" magazine published the article by the Director General of Octopus JSC Dmitry Ponomarenko: “The "stayer" strategy: prospects for Russian-Mexican cooperation in the oil and gas sector”. Energy reform in Mexico and the demonopolization of the Pemex state-owned company created the conditions for the “entry” of foreign investors and technologies into the country's oil and gas sector. Russian oil and gas companies have a wealth of experience in development and exploration of fields with a problematic background and logistics. They can compete in the Mexican oil and gas market with both local companies and multinational corporations. And they have realprospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the extraction and processing of Mexican hydrocarbon raw materials. But commercial success will not come immediately. It will take a great deal of intensive work.
