Continuously growing needs of the national economy in mineral raw materials entail the appearance of anthropogenic pressure on the natural landscape, causing violations of geochemical balance and the accumulation of toxic substances in its components.
The intensity of self-cleaning is determined by many factors, depending on which, the restoration of disturbed soils, especially in the conditions of the North of Russia, can last many decadesor even hundreds of years.
One of the best ways to overcome the problems that have arisen is to carry out the reclamation of disturbed areas.
"Octopus" JSC has developed a technology for the liquidation of lands contaminated with oil products, phenols and heavy metal salts, which involves the use of an integrated approach, including the use of agricultural machinery in the development of soil and the implementation of agricultural techniques, the introduction of a complex sorbent-meliorant "Aorsit-47", a water bacterial suspension (Application for invention No. 2015120166/20 (031135) of 30.07.2015) on sites with a very high level of contamination with petroleum products, application of gypsum in case of liquidation salinity alkalinity of the soils, contaminated with mineral waters.
Reclamation techniques are developed depending on the nature and depth of the pollutants penetration, peculiarities of soil and climatic conditions, as well as accordance with the requirements of regulatory and methodological documents.
Sorbent meliorant used in remediation (TU 5711-004-48075906-2009, patent for invention № 2406579 dated 08.12.2008), developed by "Octopus"JSC, is produced using environmentally friendly technology, based on the results of research and experimental approbations. The sorbent, being an environmentally friendly, natural raw material and based on natural minerals, possesses a high efficiency to sorb pollutants, significantly reducing (up to MAC or background values) their toxic effect on soil, while its cost is 30-50% below that of the analogues.Aorsite-47 can serve as: a source of ashy elements, enriching the soil with potassium and phosphorus forms accessible to plants; an accumulator of moisture, collecting and dosing it to plants, which is especially important in conditions of arid climate; and as a soil structure-forming agent.
Evaluation of the reclamation works effectiveness is determined on the basis of data from industrial and environmental monitoring carried out in 3 stages.
Many years of experience and positive feedback on the work on cleaning and reclamation of soil have shown that the proposed technology allows to neutralize contaminated soil, restore the productivity and economic value of lands with high efficiency in optimal terms.
The reclamation works are fulfilled in accordance with the concluded contract. The tecniques, the order of their implementation, the duration of works are stipulated in the project documentation, developed and agreed upon in accordance with the established procedure.
